IONIA. Phokaia. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 12 mm, 2.57 g). Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet decorated with a volute on the bowl; behind, small seal upward. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. BMFA 1906. Bodenstedt 32. SNG von Aulock -. Well struck on an unusual oval flan perfectly adapting to the obverse motif. Light die wear, otherwise, about extremely fine.
